16 March 2018 – Nancy’s Notes & Anecdotes

I wanted to welcome you [back] to my Nancy’s Notes & Anecdotes where I hope you will find helpful tidbits of inspiration and insight. Please do share your thoughts with me – we learn and grow together and from each other as women in business when we collaborate.

“I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning how to sail my ship.” -Louisa May Alcott

Book I’m reading

High-Velocity Formula for Multiplying your Personal Effectiveness in Quantum Leaps, by Price PritchettYou squared: a High-Velocity Formula for Multiplying your Personal Effectiveness in Quantum Leaps, by Price Pritchett. This book was recommended to me and immediately peaked my interest– the first two pages set the stage for the book: a “true story” about a fly killing itself trying to fly out of a closed window when only steps away is an open door. The book is less than 38 pages in length and has some awesome quotes and ideas to ponder on how you can exponentially improve your performance.

How I spent my time …

World Trade Centre-Miami International Women’s Day ConferenceWorld Trade Centre-Miami International Women’s Day Conference and Luncheon on March 8th (International Women’s Day). I’m a guest of the Canadian Consulate and I’m honored to break bread with my friends from the north!

Ideas I’m Noodling…

integrating the concepts of gratitude, compassion, acceptance, meaning and forgiveness into daily life. This is from a fabulous TED Talk (Pin it) by Amit Sood and he suggests thinking of / incorporating gratitude on Mondays, compassion on Tuesdays, acceptance on Wednesdays, meaning on Thursdays and forgiveness on Fridays. I’m adding community on Saturday and spirituality on Sunday. Use the concepts to inform, not rule, your days. Be intentional and watch magic happen!

I’m following…

Stu McLaren. From his website: “I Help Experts Transform Their Knowledge and Influence Into Recurring Revenue”. Yay! Sharing your expertise is easier than you think. Contact me and I’ll be happy to share pointers I’ve helped other women in business implement.

I am celebrating thinking big and boldy! I’m bringing on new team members to help us serve you and other women in business better. I’ve found great people whose skills are complementary to mine and we have big and bold program plans… Stay tuned!
